Keith and Joan

A visit today from Australian friends. On my round the world trip in 1982 I met up with Eric and Joy as we travelled in New Zealand. Some years later they visited us in Edinburgh with their great friends Keith and Joan and we've met up over the years.

Keith has now retired as a sheep farmer and with Joan were visiting some of her relatives in Dorset and the North East of England having toured the Baltic and St Petersburg. A combination of junk mail and holidays earlier in the summer meant I had missed the likelihood of a visit by them so when they rang on Friday evening to check if we were around it was great to hear from them.

Lunch today was organised before they flew out of Glasgow this evening. They insist we visit them next .......!
