Reaching Out

Lettuce crop = epic fail. Not a single head of lettuce survived the enthusiastic trowel work of the wee man or whatever wildlife eats lettuce. Our garden seems to be very lacking in any sort of bird life and the only other things I've spotted are foxes and cats. Surely not big lettuce thieves?

The peas however are a triumph. I may be getting a little ahead of myself, as not a single pod has yet been produced but the plants are growing with vigour and we have lots of flowers and creeping tendrils. If autumn/winter could just hold off a little longer please...
