Missed Blippertunities...

Three out of the 5 of this mad lot descended on me this afternoon. (Sadly the other two couldn't make it but that just gives us an excuse to all get together again sooner rather than later ;-))

There were so many photos I could have taken today.

The raspberry gin and prosecco cocktails.
The beautiful and thoughtful gift Alice brought for me (I'll blip that another day :)
The mad selfies of the three of us in various stages of merriment.
The dinner table groaning under the weight of home made nachos, chilli, guacamole, sour cream, rice, pitta bread, cheese and of course, wine.
David's face sitting at said dinner table listening to 4 women discussing (in frank and hilarious detail) the "joys" of middle age.
The stunning roses, another lovely gift.

But no, I was too busy enjoying myself and all I managed was this quick phone shot of my banana loaf, before it was demolished.

And so another wonderful night in the company of these amazing women. We have shared so much over the years, good times and bad, and laughed and cried together. Tonight was no exception.

Devastatingly tragic news amongst the merriment. News where sorry doesn't come close and there are just no words of comfort to be found. None. Just tight hugs and the willing of love and strength to be transferred by osmosis to those who need it.
