Today's the day ........................ for a miniature world

I had to get down on my knees to take this picture of these tiny cyclamen that have seeded themselves all over the rockery.

Most cyclamen species originate from the Mediterranean, where summers are hot and dry and winters are cool and wet. So they tend to disappear during the summer - but then are always a welcome sight at this time of the year when most of the other flowers in the garden are tailing off.

The are cheap to buy in all the supermarkets just now. Once they have finished flowering indoors - stick them in the garden - and they will create their own miniature world for you ..........................
