St Enodoc's Church
Went to visit this absolutely wonderful little church today. It is near Daymar bay (a gorgeous beach).
St Enodoc's church is 12th century, and between the 16th and 19th centuris the church was all but buried by the Sand dunes. To maintain the tithes there had to be a service there at least once a year, so the vicar and parishoners entered the church through the roof! It was dug out of the dunes in the 19th century.
John Betjeman is buried in the church yard.
We sat on some benches in the church yard and soaked up the suns rays of another beautiful day. Wonderful way to recharge the batteries.
