Today was, dare I say it, just too hot ! The sea was quite wild, making it tricky to get in and out so we stuck to the pool. Don't people look different in clothes ? There are a few people staying where we are who I have not recognised when I have seen them dressed !
Early this morning we walked the length of the bay
and back, we came across a dead praying mantis type insect and a beached jellyfish. The jellyfish was a brownish colour with darker spots, there have been quite a few of them around due to the storm a few days ago. We've been told that quite a few people have been stung by them, apparently they really hurt.
It was lying there, looking like a big horrible bogey, pulsating from time to time, I asked Andy ( can't be bothered to call him André anymore, the accent is too much effort) if we should save it. He said no.
Bought a chocolate doughnut the size of a frisbee and split it in half. Arranged an hire car and got picked up to go and pick it up by a leathery Northerner, who looked like a bloodhound and stank of cigarettes. Went for a drive to a village called Spartia in search of half buried Buicks in the woods. Our friend Lisa sent us a message a few days ago saying she had stayed there some time ago, she told Andy about the cars and he got all excited. This is the only reason we have hired a car , so we have to find them.
We will go early tomorrow in search.
