The Scaur

Kippford on the River Urr in Galloway was always known locally as The Scaur. It is a very pretty little village, popular with yachts' people.

This picture hung on the wall outside my mother's flat. I've always liked it. As a boy we holidayed in Rockcliffe - a short walk round "The Muckle Hill".
