Monday: Lumbarda

We went on a good long walk this morning, from Korčula to Lumbarda, a distance of six miles.  It was a beautiful idyllic spot and the walk there was lovely - beautiful and very quiet, apart from the crickets.  We spent a couple of hours in Lumbarda, enjoying the beaches and water, before getting the bus back.  Our enthusiasm didn't quite stretch to walking back.

We have been seriously impressed with Korčula and would love to return one day.  The best bit is that the food is so good!  It is the one place where we have eaten consistently well!

Tonight was no exception.  We had a lovely meal, with great views of the sunset, and ended the evening by chatting to some lovely people from Calgary, Alberta.  Travel does tend to bring people together.
