Buzzzzzzzz
I worked up quite a sweat trying to get a decent capture of this bee. He didn't want to stay still for long and he kept darting away from the flower and toward my head!
I was standing in the sun and between my fear of the bee and the heat of the sun I was fogging up the viewing lens on the camera. I don't think I would get a job working for National Geographic as a photographer. I would an anxious, sweaty mess!
After shooting quite a few pictures I thought I might have a half way decent one. I moved the camera away from my face and took a step back from the flowers when the bee head right for me. I waved it away but it came back again. I ran across the back lawn with my camera in hand and head for the house. I know, pathetic.
I got a bee picture and although it might not be as good as some of seen, it was the best I do under the pressure of being stung. Anyone that knows me will be very impressed that I even got this close! :-)
