What happens after a day of taking hundreds ...

of photos? I just take the one and then have to spend time trying to make silk purses!
Walking up the side of the herbaceous border at Cannon Hall with mum and my brother I spotted these Chinese Latterns growing tucked well down among the dying foliage. One year they had a whole bed of them and they looked fantastic. So last year I tried growing them but started them too late and they never flowered. Maybe next year when the rest of the stone wall is completed and I have another garden trough to put things in I'll try again.
