New low
was reached tonight with this "meal". Here are all the factors that contributed to this masterpiece:
1) Leftovers from Alex's birthday party - only two delicious sliders (mom and dad), a crap ton of hot dogs (Alex).
2) No hot dog buns but tons of slider buns. This was Alex's idea on how to cut and arrange.
3) Trying to stick to our new schedule of feeding Alex dinner in the 40 min in between my two classes I teach on Monday nights so he can go straight to bed when we get home and only mom and dad have to eat dinner at 9:00. Why did this contribute? Well, two reasons; First, Isaac wasn't home to use his leftover creativity to make something more acceptable, and second, I didn't have to eat across from Alex and stare guiltily at the crap I was feeding him.
4) My child can't stand any condiments, so I can't even mask how dry this was.
I'd like to note that there were no complaints out of him, and I did throw some carrots in for vitamins, however, I didn't sit there and make sure he ate them. I love to cook and I feel like I make really good meals for my family no matter how busy our schedules get. . . this went against every grain in my body. Dang, this had to be a day where I didn't take a single picture besides this cell phone image that I sent to Isaac boasting about my gourmet skills. Hence my Blip.
I did finish editing Alex's birthday party pictures if you are at all interested in taking a peek.
