Jaguar D-Type - Goodwood Revval

Its also 60 years of the Jaguar D-type, one of my favourite cars and there were 20 + examples here this year. I was also pleased to see some XK-SS's which also joined the D-type race - rather than a stabilising fin they have a luggage rack on the back - not so great for racing - but the only way to take any luggage. This year we learned that the stabilising fin on the D-type, which was to keep it stable at 180mph on the Mulsanne straight, is actually not mounted straight in-line with the direction of travel but at a 5 degree angle.
