The wild boar is having its Mohican seen to. She's a hairy beast, even if most of the hair is painted. I was told today that the spear you use (or maybe your forebears used to use) for killing wild boar had a stout cross-bar fixed to it, because merely being transfixed by a spear was not enough to stop a wild boar from carrying on charging. They were very fearsome. What do I mean, "were"? They're making a resurgence, I understand, and were reintroduced to the Forest of Dean, not so far from here, some ten years ago.
Anyway, the Pig Factory is almost over. I can't wait to see them hanging in the Market Hall!
