Slieve League Cliffs, County Donegal
We visited the cliffs last October when they were partly shrouded in mist and vowed that we would come back and see them in the sunshine. Today didn't disappoint and we spent many hours climbing up the land side to see them in all their glory. The sights were spectacular and between us we took 800 photographs during the day.
During lunch we decided to take a boat trip to see them closer and it was the best 40 euros we spent all week. There were just us and two young women with their beautifully behaved two and a half year old sons on the boat and when we were close to the cliffs the boat owner stopped the boat so the two young ladies were able to swim in the Atlantic. He told me the ocean was about seventeen metres deep at this point so I was glad I didn't say I would join them! After a while we continued our trip and were absolutely dumb struck by the beauty of the it all. A truly magical day that will stay in my memory for all time.
