Charlie's last walk

I dont know what to write, it's taken me over six weeks to even think about posting this.

This is one of the last pictures I got of Charlie and I knew it would be. Charlie was put to sleep at 12.30 on Monday 4th August, 2014. The hole he has left in our lifes is immense and will take a lot of filling. He had started snapping at people, and even though we had taken him back to one to one dog training, we were a bit wary of who he might snap at next. Today he did it good and proper, he bit me several times and I could not stop him. We had no choice, it could be a child next time. We tried to rehome him, but no one wants a do9g that bitten someone, especially it's owner. I honestly think something was wrong. He was such a loving "friend" who's character seemed to change very very quickly. Regardless of what he did, I still loved him.

It took me four weeks to even look at my camera after this walk, and even longer to venture up to the beach. It will never been the same without my beautiful photography buddy - we tramped miles over that beach together.
