Autumnal field off Byfleets Lane, Warnham

I seem to always take this view on a hot day and it was that way today!. The crop has been harvested and preparations are underway for the next one. There has been a strong smell of manure in the area for a while and we have even been able to smell it at school! I'm not sure what the large heap is, but think it is compost, as manure has been spread on this field. Whenever I smell manure it reminds me of holidays in Austria as it was always spread on the lush green meadows in the Tirol!
