Clacton Pier
Today I was out on maths subject enhancement course. It was really good to talk to other non-specialist maths teachers. It will also be very helpful to receive some training on areas that I might struggle with in the subject.
This Blip is of Clacton Pier. It opened on 27 July 1871, and was officially the first building erected in the then-new resort of Clacton-on-Sea. It was mainly used as a docking point for steamships. It is now used mainly for indoor and outdoor activities, events, rides and amusements.
What all this meant was that I could have a brief walk along the see front this morning. It was great to get some sea air first thing in the morning.
