Onwards

It's been a very difficult ten days. No time has seemed right to accept that life must go on. This Christmas tree in the water at the shore in Leith, however, did make me smile today and so I thought I would try to return to my journal.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last blip when I was looking forward to a busy and fun weekend in Edinburgh. If I have learned anything through all this, it is to make the most of every day, accept that things often don't turn out as you expect and that nothing stays the same for ever.

As for my Dad, the good Lady summed him up very nicely with just a few words, of which the rest of the family wholly approved.
