Bike Tour around Madrid Rio

Today Syracuse University sponsored a bike tour around the Madrid Rio, the city's main river. It was brutally hot, but totally worth it! The last few days here have been nearing 100*F, quite different from Syracuse! Anyway, on the tour we rode to the tope of a hill in Casa de Campo, which is the largest park in the city. From the mountain we could see the majority of Madrid. We saw the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, Sol, Plaza Mayor, and more! After visiting Casa de Campo we rode along the Madrid Rio for a while stoping at places like new modern looking bridges, the old slaughter house (it's no longer being used), and the bridge that was built back when the city was being built. We concluded the tour with tapas and a soda- typical Spanish style!
