Roadtrip: Day 5

En route back to the interstate we stopped off for a late breakfast at a truly authentic hillbilly BBQ shack. There is every chance the meat we were eating was road kill, but when in Rome...

One thing this road trip has taught us is that outside of New York it is almost impossible to find food that isn't fast. The abundance of chains and fast food outlets is shocking, and the lack of fruit, vegetables and anything that hasn't been deep fried even more so.

Feeling pretty unhealthy we took the opportunity to walk 3 miles to the top of Crabtree Falls. It was a steep climb but the view was very impressive. Once down we all felt we deserved a good meal, obviously, so found a nice steakhouse and eat till we were ready to fall asleep.
