Frost Fan

These are scattered around some of the vineyards that are more susceptible to frost. This fan is at Northbank - Forrest Wines. The noise when they start up is like a helicopter and it moves enough air around to keep the damage from frost to the very minimum.

Helicopters are also used on some vineyards to keep the dawn frosts at bay.
