Dracula

Interesting day of contrasts. Some worrying news received yesterday evening after I'd blipped kept me distracted all day.

At the Bradford Alhambra for Singin' in the Rain this afternoon, which was light hearted and a bit of a tonic.

At the West Yorkshire Playhouse this evening for Northern Ballet Theatre's Dracula. I saw this many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found this production disappointing, they used a very discordant score, not a patch on Philip Feeney's beautifully evocative music, used previously. They changed the ending, having Mina commit suicide - not quite as Bram Stoker told it.

Even so the dancing was great and it made for a pleasant evening
