A corny news report.

Hi all,
A quick one today. Gig night tonight and a family wedding tomorrow so I'm about to take an afternoon nap to conserve my energy.
The corn is nearly ready. That bulbous thing under the hairy mop is the cob casing. When the hairy bit turns brown and dry the cob is ready to eat. That process has started already. The good thing is that the warm spell is to continue for another two weeks, so all looks good. I have eight plants and about 14 developed husks. There are a few smaller ones but they're probably too late.
A definite for next year.
