Here comes the snow

After last week's false alarm, the forecasters were warning of a major snowfall again. I did not believe them this time and headed into work in the AM anyway. My plan was to head home in the afternoon if the weather got bad.

Surprisingly, the forecasters were somewhat right. We did get some snow and it indeed starting seriously coming down in the early afternoon. I drove threw the falling snow, but left very early and so the traffic minimal. I came home to a front yard filled with little kids running around in the snow. It looked like fun, but I had work to do and could not participate.

I was hoping to take a snow blip to highlight the occasion, but the schedule did not work out and so I ended up taking this shot of our flag holder. You can see the small amount of snow accumulation on the holder.
