a hard nut to crack

I went for a totter towards the rail bridge and saw a curlew and a heron. On the way back, the curlew had moved nearer and I watched it find this crab and chase it along the shore. The crab has drawn itself right inside its shell and the curlew was getting quite agitated trying to get into it.
