Last Days of Summer - it's not over yet?

Stuck in the office all day, but I managed to nip out at lunchtime. It was pleasantly warm, the sun was shining and, according to my calendar, I've still got another three full days of "summer" to eke out before the equinox.

Why do the shops try to remind me it's winter. First there's the Halloween stuff - masks, blood and plastic knives and then on the next row there are snowmen and selection boxes.

Guess I had better stock up with snow shovels too.
