Making amends...

For the last year my daughter has (apparently) been feeling aggrieved that she didn't get a birthday cake last year. Truth be told, by the time I'd made big brother's birthday-day cake and then a cake each for the shared party, I was all caked out when her actual birthday came around, and we still had so many leftovers in the house I just couldn't face making more cake. Silly mummy. Should've known it would be held against me...

So this year I have made sure that there is cake ready to go on the table tomorrow. A bit more wibbly-wobbly pig than Peppa, but hopefully should do the job. And at least it didn't take me as long as I have a feeling the party cake will do at the weekend.

On a side note: 4? Already? How did that happen?!


Have just noticed how appallingly badly cropped this photo is... Oops! I didn't mean to catch my socks in shot, nor to miss some of the candle tops! Clearly I haven't quite got used to how long and thin the photos my phone takes are yet...
