Yes and No
I had a challenging time when I was out today, at 2 different points I was approached by well meaning people. The first lady was wearing a 'No thanks' badge, which are the exact words I said to her offer of help. The second lady was wearing a 'yes' badge which was the word I said to agree with her insight on the situation I was dealing with.
I came home to discover two newspapers with headlines about the referendum. There is no escape, tomorrows the day for better or worse. As it gets closer the more nervous I feel. Throughout the campaigns I have felt like everywhere I turned I was being told what to think, and expected to vote a certain way. I have remained relatively quiet about my vote as I believe it's my right to keep this private and I have my choice, my decision respected. Being an immigrant I have felt that people might say that I don't have the right to have an opinion. My background does give me a prospective that other people may not have. Whatever the outcome there are difficult days ahead, but everyone has the right to vote and have there voice, their choice.
