Mesa

We have been fans of south western flavours in cooking for many years. And I've been a kind of fan of Bobby Flay ever since I saw him on Iron Chef.

So we were determined to eat in his Mesa restaurant in Caesar's Palace. And what a treat that turned out to be.

I'm not sure what it is - maybe it's our accent - but we are always treated royally by US citizens! In this instance, the lass who was sitting at the table next to ours in the restaurant got talking, and was determined that we share her appetizer, just so we could get to taste one more amazing dish.

We had quite a chat during the course of the meal, and she came from Omaha Nebraska, and ate at Mesa every time she was in Las Vegas.

Mesa certainly got a huge thumbs up from us - the food was well balanced and beautifully flavoured.
