Pandi

One of a few beach houses in Newcastle, Australia. The house next door had a trailer out front piled with wood and several workmen were hacking away at the interior. Fortunately it was being prepared for restoration rather than demolition; many older buildings are being cleared for new developments or are simply abandoned.

I was also lucky enough to be at the warf when YWAM's ship, The Pacific Link, arrived. It had come from Tauranga, New Zealand and was destined for Papua New Guinea where it would be addressing key health issues such as malaria, HIV and maternal and infant mortality rates.

I left in the afternoon on the airport bus where I met another German - they seem to be all over this town! She was very nice and had been in Australia for 7 months. We may bump into each other again as she'll be visiting my home town in the next few months.
