A photo from a photo

This is my father and mother on their wedding-day the 15th of April 1915.
He was a great story-teller and love to play pranks on people. When my mother passed away in 1935, he had to raise seven children. I have the greatest respect for him, he placed the well-being of his chlidren first. A fantastic cook he was: baking bread, cookies, making jam and preserve fruit.
A hardworking man he was, caring for a small holding with cattle, sheep,pigs and fowl. Never was there a shortage of vegetables, for he kept a beautiful veggie garden. Sadly, he passed away in 1967.
That is why today I share this photo with you, as an ode to a wonderful father and a mother who loved him and her children.
