Goldfinch

First day back in the office was as hectic as predicted. Back to the real world with a bump. The circle line was shut when I arrived, so had to jam onto the Central line with millions of others. I closed my eyes and tried to focus on what I was doing on that day last week- whale watching in Iceland. My commute was made a bit more pleasant by being immersed in the Goldfinch. I can't stop reading it! I'm now about halfway through the 800+ pages, and despite my best intentions to go to bed at a reasonable hour, I was still up late reading 'just one more chapter'...
