Horse fair

One thing I could see through the murk was that right outside the hotel there was an interesting looking mural in the centre of the roundabout.

Further exploration at lunchtime revealed that it depicted the Birmingham Horse Fair, which has an interesting (and long) history and was last held in 1911.

I was standing right on top of the A38 when I took this. Funny place, Birmingham.
