Flood relief area

This low lying area behind where we live has been flooded for months now and lots of wildlife have colonised it. The council and the Environment Agency have been pumping it and digging channels to try and drain the area but as you can see it refuses to drain despite the lack of rain.
I like the way it looks and local children enjoy feeding the ducks and moorhens that live here now. An even larger digger arrived today along with a huge generator, maybe it's days are numbered.
