meanwhile....back at the Park. Today was my first day volunteering at Ford Park, charity and social enterprise. After my meeting with the CEO on Tuesday to discuss how best to use my time I was a little nervous, the usual self-doubt creeping in. After all it has been four years since I was last in the working environment. But very soon I found my feet. I've volunteered to research possible avenues of grant funding for the multitude of projects and core services the 'Park' offer and want to offer in the future. The people are all lovely, a colourful combination of volunteers from all walks of life and a handful of salaried staff. We enjoyed the sunny morning taking elevenses in the walled garden, chatting, sharing news and throwing ideas about. By the end of my day I had identified some promising leads. A pleasing outcome of a great day. I'm already looking forward to next week.
