High And Dry

I met up for lunch today in Pudsey with a couple of former colleagues from work - four years since I left and probably two years since we last 'did lunch'!

Lunch eventually consisted of a packet of crisps - as the first pub we tried was all boarded up - and the second one didn't do food.

Anyway didn't really seem to bother and a couple of hours soon flew by.

On the way back I dropped down to the canal at Rodley to look at the boats - and I spotted this in a little boat yard. Not sure what stage of build it is at or indeed if it will ever get finished - but it seems to have rubbish piled up all around it. The light was pretty poor - and still quite hazy so it looks a bit 'flat'

I then stopped at Rodley nature reserve - only to find it doesn't open on Thursdays! Bah...

Tedious journey home through Leeds - thanks to some foreign HGV getting lost and causing mayhem trying to turn round and then loads of roadworks!
