Scottish independence referendum

So today is the big day! History will be made and I'm so glad that I was able to be a part of that. I had a huge lump in my throat walking from the booth to the ballot box. My husband thought I was nuts but I'm just very overwhelmed by the magnitude of the decision that the Scottish people are faced with and also by the fact that we brought Brooke to the polling station with us and she got to see democracy in action! I won't mention how I voted, I'm a firm believer that its a personal decision and everyone is entitled to think and believe how they wish - it's their opinion. I don't want to have to list the reasons why I made the decision I did, I know that I did what I'm happy and comfortable with so can rest easy no matter the outcome tomorrow.

Brooke - looking back on this in years to come - I hope the decision that's made today is the right one for you and I hope your mum and dad were able to help make that happen
