Gathering At The Polling Place
Referendum Day. Finally.
Got to the polling station just after 7am and joined the queue (yes, a queue to vote!)
Also there were select international media, including a TV crew from Spanish channel LaSexta, who I would have happily spoken to had I been asked...
The same polling station, some 10 hours later, still with folk gathered outside - this time with bagpipes and balloons.
The real interest in the Referendum has been refreshing when we're so used to voter apathy - 97% of those eligible to vote registered to do so, and I really do hope that the turnout will exceed expectations.
As for the result, well, we'll know by breakfast time on Friday.
The wait, however, is almost as nerve wracking as Eurovision!
