A misty afternoon view

A hectic day, thought we might be near to exchange but our solicitors got the price wrong on the property we are purchasing. They later rang back with a clause from our buyers solicitor talking about us agreeing to have an earthbond fitted to the boiler. We thought they were talking garbage and had got the wrong property as our boiler is new and no one had raised issues with it. Turns out we were wrong and the buyers solicitor had inserted this clause a few days ago. Nobody thought to mention it to us until exchange day. So a few frantic calls later we are having one fitted at the weekend although we have been told it is unnecessary given the new distribution board just fitted. I hope there are no more unwelcome surprises, maybe we will exchange tomorrow?
So I popped out after lunch for a welcome change of scenery to find that there is still a haze hanging over the hills. Then back home to look after a friends daughter who has broken her arm.
