Loudon's

Everyday we started with breakfast in the Edinburgh Larder in Blackfriars Street; for good value and well cooked breakfasts it surely cannot be beat.

However, Egon Ronay's top tip for lunch (actually HL) was Loudon's in Fountainbridge. Luckily not too far from the bike shops.

There were so many camera crews in Edinburgh and whilst in Loudon's a Spanish journalist was interviewing folk. I got on with my soup. This is an excellent establishment well worthy of support - excellent staff - very friendly. HL is right (apparently he isn't always).

In the late afternoon we walked out to the Botanic Gardens to surprise J who is the artist in residence. On arrival she postponed a tutorial with a student and gave us tea and cake during our catch up.
