hooray....

...it's asparagus season and the 'Asparagus for sale' sign was out at the farm gate today.

This is Petra hand sorting the green spears.
She and hubby Harrie grow white, green and purple asparagus.
Top notch Perth restaurants feature their produce on seasonal menus and they sell at farmers markets.
For lucky ducks who live in the area we can buy fresh picked from their farm.
And picked it is.
Every step is hands on.

This year they were amongst the finalists of the national 'Delicious' produce awards...well done them!
