The Offie

If you live within 50 miles of Leicester* and you haven't visited The Offie, what on earth are you playing at? In an age of grim retail experiences, The Offie is a delight. On my last visit I discovered lambic beer - the beer equivalent of sourdough. I can't honestly say I'll be drinking it again, but where else can you get over 500 different bottled beers from around the world, expert advice and fabulous service? Bargain Booze it ain't, but it is a deep joy every time I visit this shop and remember how retail used to be.
