A Walk Through Deb's Life

Not a Roof Top Pool

The place we are staying in Houston, Texas has a gorgeous pool and workout room. We've taken advantage of both this week, a few times. I brought work with me - paper work (impossible to bring soapmaking supplies and equipment when traveling), but have not opened it up yet. I'm relaxing instead. And I'm treating myself to a spa package deal this afternoon. I'm drinking chamomile tea in preparation (I'm nervous because I've never had a spa treatment before). But the good news is I have no plans afterward because I suspect I will be too relaxed to do anything at all. Sounds pretty good to me.

This pool is a hundred years old. The entire pool is tiled with one inch square mosaic tiles. The pool was in ruins until this historic hotel (converted into apartment condos now) was renovated a few years back. There is only one thing wrong with this pool. It's in the basement! That's just impossible for this former California girl to comprehend. Where's the sun???

Okay, now I must finish my tea and rush off to my appointment. Wish me luck.

What a dumb thing to say. Let me see, "Good luck debs on your massage and facial." Yea, dumb.
