Eddystone Lighthouse

This is the fourth lighthouse to be build on the Eddystone rocks which are situated about 9 miles south of Plymouth. It was designed by James Douglass and replaced the light designed by John Smeaton . You can see the base of Smeaton's tower which was dismantled and re-erected on Plymouth Hoe.
