Musselburgh Beach

My university is situated in the town of Musselburgh, otherwise known as 'The Honest Toun'. After some history research I found that my family does have some connection to this seaside burgh.
In 1332 the Earl of Mar was so impressed with how the towns folk cared for Randolph, Earl of Moray who was gravely ill, that he claimed the people as 'honest men' hence the name 'Honest Toun'.

This seaside burgh is so beautiful, with the river Esk running straight through the middle of the town centre towards the sea. From the beach you can see Edinburgh, Fife and St Andrews - weather permitting of course. The fog, or the 'Haar' as it's called here seems to come out of nowhere.

However, adventure always awaits no matter what the weather!
