A sad day

Exhausted this morning after being on the go for around 26 hours. I arrived home this morning from a 4.5 hour stint at the BBC on the overnight results programmes (mainly radio) in time to spend a little time with some of the main local activists before they headed home.

A few hours sleep and then this afternoon watched the First Minister announce that he would be stepping down as leader of the SNP and FM in November. He has had a truly phenomenal political career and took Scotland to the very cusp of independence. He will be sorely missed by those of us who believe that Scotland is the equal of any other country in the world.

His announcement however meant another round of radio interviews before I popped outside and took this blip of something beautiful, which I hoped would lift my mood.
