Feather (unidentified)

When I got back from Skye 10 days ago there were rather a lot of feathers on the lawn which probably came from a pigeon. However, amongst them was this much more interesting one, which suggests that rather than a cat or fox it was a bird of prey which had attacked the pigeon. I've seen sparrow hawks in the garden a couple of times, so I'd suspect that it comes from one of these, though I'm not sure based on colouring etc.

This photo was also an opportunity to test (not very successfully) my new gels for use with a flashgun - I need to practice with these a lot more though.
