Reap What You Sow

Today I went to Alex’s school for a harvest celebration. The special element was that this was a celebration for the harvest from the school garden as all the kids have participated in growing a variety of vegetables.

All the classes gave us a little performance and some harvest-based artwork was unveiled. We then got the opportunity to sample some soup, cake etc, made from ingredients sourced in the school’s garden and it was all very impressive. I brought home a small selection of vegetables as seen in the blip and a couple of cups of soup so that Becky could sample it; she had been enthusiastically involved in the growing element before leaving the school at the end of last term.
