Finally Found
I've seen this viaduct from the train several times, but didn't manage to find it one day during a concerted effort!
I've no idea why I didn't find it because it's actually quite obvious from the motorway, as I noticed today driving home from work! It's between Kendal and Penrith - not far away!
As luck would have it, I finally found it today during some great evening light too. However, it was hard to get to this spot - I had to climb up a bridge which was quite precarious and then had to stand next to some high-speed rail tracks! You know it's true what they say - you really don't hear them coming!
I've always wondered how people manage to get run over by trains so much, but now I understand - in fact I understood straight away when I heard something coming and turned round to see a Virgin train coming at me at over 100 miles per hour. If I'd been on the tracks (I stayed well clear of the tracks) there wouldn't have been time to get out of the way!
