The Empty Lot

Time for an update on the (not so) empty lot. I've been documenting this space for over a year now. Things have come a long way but as you see, there is still a lot to be done. When completed this will be a row of 5 townhouses. Because we're in an historic district the developers had to go through rounds of approvals and everyone received plans and had input (if they wanted) before any building began. A big contrast to what many other neighborhoods are having to contend with. I sometimes grumble about the restrictions of the historic district - there are positives and negatives to all things - but in this instance I am grateful for it as we are not faced with a behemoth building of 80 apartments towering over everything else.

I took this picture from the corner today as there was a better view of what the building looks like overall. Will do another update when completion is nearer.
